The Government of India/Maharashtra runs a number of scholarships for the students who are domiciled of the Maharashtra state. Maharashtra scholarships aim at providing suitable financial assistance to meritorious and underprivileged students belonging to different strata of life.

MAHARASHTRA SCHOLARSHIPS – ONLINE PROCEDURE

The Government of Maharashtra also operates its online scholarship application portal namely, mahadbt scholarship portal through which the students can apply for many Maharashtra scholarships. Following are the step to apply for the scholarships online.

Step 1: Online Registration at Mahadbt

The students are open to both UID based registration and non-UID based registration.
UID based registration for Maharashtra Scholarships

  • Visit the mahadbt scholarship website.
  • Click on “New Applicant Registration”.
  • Click on “Yes” and enter your Aadhaar number to proceed.
  • Authenticate your Aadhaar details either by using OTP (through linked mobile number) or by using Biometric (if the mobile number is not linked with Aadhaar)
  • Once, the Aadhaar details are authenticated, fill in all the required details on the registration form.
  • Create your login details (username and password)
  • Verify your email ID and mobile number through OTP for successful registration.
  • Save all details and proceed.
    Non-UID based registration
  • Visit the mahadbt scholarship website.
  • Click on “New Applicant Registration”.
  • Click on “No” and register either by using the Aadhaar enrolment ID or by knowing the current status of your Aadhaar number.
  • Fill in all required details.
  • Verify your email ID and mobile number through OTP for successful registration.
  • Create your login details (username and password)
  • Upload your photograph as specified and other supporting documents (identity proof, address proof and birth proof.
  • Click on “Register” to complete registration.

Step 2: User Login

  • Once successfully registered, you can log in in mahadbt scholarship portal by clicking on “Applicant login”.
  • Enter your registered username and password to log in.
  • In case, you forget your password, you can click on “Forget password” button to retrieve it.

Step 3: Applying for Maharashtra scholarships through user dashboard

  • Once you have successfully logged in, you will be directed to the user dashboard.
  • Click on “Profile” to update your profile.
  • If your profile is 100% complete, you will get the list of suggested eligible scholarship schemes.
  • Select the scholarship you want to apply for.
  • Click on the “Apply” button to proceed with the scholarship application.
  • Provide all necessary information and upload supporting documents (if required).
  • Finally, submit the application.

Step 4: Check the scholarship application status

  • After successful submission of the scholarship application, the candidates can check the status of their application by clicking on “Applied Schemes”.
  • If your application is under scrutiny, it will be visible under the head of “Under Scrutiny Applications”.
  • If your application is approved, it will be visible under the head of “Approved Applications”.
  • If your application is rejected, it will be visible under the head of “Rejected Applications”.

REQUIRE DOCUMENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIP

All the Following documents must be attested or self-attested for GOI Scholarship Scheme

  1.  Aadhar Card.
  2. S.S.C. Mark sheet.
  3. Caste Validity Certificate
  4. Caste Certificate.
  5. Father’s Income Certificate from Tahsildar. (Income Period academic year). * in case  of Married Women Husband Income Certificate
  6. Last Year’s Mark sheet.
  7. Gap Certificate (on 100/- Stamp paper)* in case of gap in Education.
  8. Ration Card.(Front & Back Side) * in Case Name of Student in other relative Ration card, Affidavit required on 100/- Stamp paper.
  9. Father/Mother Death Certificate (in case of death).
  10. Marriage Certificate/ Gazette Certificate (for name defer).
  11. Bank Account no. of any Nationalized bank (own saving Account)
  12. Printout of Online scholarship from.
 
 

IMPORTANT NOTES (FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS AND GUARDIANS)

  1. The student SC/OBC/SBC/VJNT (GOI & Freeship) should fill online application form on website https://mahaeschol.maharashtra.gov.in/ and ST student should fill online application form on website https://etribal.maharashtra.gov.in/ and submit the copy of same with applicable documents in office scholarship section.
  2. It will also be subject to discipline and maintenance of attendance of at least 75% by the Students.
  3. The student should read carefully scholarship notice board and act accordingly. All application forms viz. EBC, Scholarships, Freeship, Caste Validity, etc. must be submitted within a month after admission. Students will be solely responsible for consequences arising due to non-submission of respective forms.
  4. If the fees are not reimbursed by the Government, the students will have to pay the same.
  5. EBC/Teacher/Defence/Ex-servicemen/Freedom Fighter concession is available for only granted courses i.e. standard XI, XII, BA,B.Com & BCA
